| Making a killing |
| In a shop this morning, an import came out the back to take money for goods. He was on the phone and excused himself "hold on a minute mate, I've got someone". Then after he gave change, he went back on the phone and said "sorry about that, I just had to kill someone". Maybe a direct translation from the mother tongue? Every industry has its lingo. |
