Retro Gaming |
So this kid asked me whether I liked retro games or graphics games. The modern child can consider anything more than 4 years old to be "retro": Theif 2 (2000), C&C Red Alert 2 (2000), and Morrowind (2002).
There are even those among today's youth who will go so far as to label some of this year's best selling games "retro". Graphics intensive, online multiplayer games such as Oblivion (2006) and World Of Warcraft (2006) can trace their lineage back through a series of sequels to titles more than a decade old - The Elder Scrolls: Arena (1994) and Warcraft: Orcs and Humans (1994).
Current estimates place the universe at 13.7 billion years old, and this planet at 4.5 billion. I am glad to be living on an old world.
